Meet the people behind GoGapSport:
In the UK........
Dan:
Welsh born and bred, Dan has been visiting the Dominican Republic for the past 3 years, always lured back by its perfect winds and laid-back Caribbean lifestyle.
A kitesurfer and I.K.O. instructor for the past 3 years, he is currently based in the UK, and spends his free time trying to get out on the water as much as possible!
On those non-wind days, you'll find him tackling the nearby mountains on his bike. Approachable and friendly, Dan is on-hand to answer all your questions by phone or by email.
Kath:
Discovered her passion for all things Spanish after living and volunteering in Quito, Ecuador back in 2005. Since then, she has continued to pursue her
love of travelling, taking her across the continents, from Thailand to the Dominican Republic. Kath tries to squeeze as much kitesurfing into her life as the
wind will allow, as well as enjoying a spot of salsa dancing from time to time!
Clare:
English-born and now resident in the D.R. for 5 years, she came back to settle after a holiday in 2003 having fallen in love with the country, its people and climate. Now an avid kite-boarder herself, she has two young children who also kite, surf and windsurf! She's currently learning Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) because of our local beach's perfect conditions for it.
Jim:
Dutch-born but a resident of the Dominican Republic for the last 5 years, Jim has more than 10 years experience of working in the travel and tourism field. A fanatic surfer, windsurfer and kite-boarder, he travelled most parts of the globe for many years for kite-wind and wave surfing.
After that, he didn't like being stuck in an office with a suit in Amsterdam London, so he decided to settle here in Cabarete, can be found either on the water with you, behind the computer or practising his SUP on our local beach!.
